Other reviewers praised LUME’s 3D air circulation feature: ‘It oscillates left and right (like most fans) but also up and down… it covers all of the room and does a great job of pushing the hot air out.’

The biggest perk for Amazon customers, though, was its whisper-quiet motor. Even at its highest setting, LUME is never louder than an electric toothbrush – and reviewers couldn’t help but notice.

‘Silent and powerful’, wrote one – while another raved about the fact it’s ‘so quiet you can still hear the television’. ‘The low settings are perfect for sleeping’, said another, ‘as it still produces a large volume of air but is also silent.’

Meanwhile, over at Lakeland, LUME’s special ‘Sleep’ mode was winning over some new fans. This mode gradually reduces LUME’s speed until it reaches its lowest setting – ideal for those hot nights that turn to cooler mornings.
